In the New Testament the ecclesia, or church, refers to the new community of believers gathered to praise and serve God in response to the ministry, the death and resurrection of Jesus and in the power of the Holy Spirit. (formally Christian Revivial Crusade Wairoa)
The word church can designate either local assemblies of Christians or the universal Christian community. If we probe somewhat deeper, we find that the ecclesia as described in the New Testament refers to a unique and transformed way of being human in relationship with God and with other persons. It designates a distinctive form of human community characterized by mutuality, interdependence, forgiveness, and friendship. In the ecclesia power and responsibility are shared and there is always a special concern for the poor, the weak, and the despised. Ecclesial life is a new community of free persons centred on God’s love in Jesus Christ and empowered to service by the Holy Spirit. We believe this!

INVOLVED
You are chosen for service, CHOSEN means having been selected as the best or most appropriate. Colossians 3:12 says - As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, taking this into everything we do.
Being in church is essential, individualism is not church, the gathering is church and together we can work serve as God wants us to serve.
YOU are not insignificant, the gathering and coming together takes on a new identity and YOU are invaluable in that identity.
